Check in: starts from 2pm and ends at 8:30pm - unless by prior arrangement (charges may apply).
Check out: by 10am - unless by prior arrangement (charges may apply). Please lock your room door and drop the key at reception or in the key return box to the left of reception door.
Motel car parking is available at the front of the property. 1 car per studio. Please provide your car registration number to reception.
Open from 8:30am to 8:30pm. Simply dial ‘0’ from your room telephone to connect with our team in the office.
Wireless internet is provided in all of our rooms and public areas. To connect, simply activate wireless on your device, open your browser, connect to ‘kauri motel - guest’ and enter the WiFi code provided to you.
We maintain our motel as a smoke-free complex. Smoking inside our rooms is prohibited, in the event of doing so we reserve the right to charge a cleaning fee not less than $150 to restore the room to the same condition prior to use.
Fire Alarm & Evacuation:
Evacuation route and meeting point are found on the card adjacent to your studio entry.
If you cause a false alarm or tamper with a smoke or heat detector or other fire safety equipment resulting in a fire brigade or, fire protection service call out and a building evacuation, you will be liable for paying all costs relating to the call out. You will also be liable for any collection and recovery fees incurred by the motel.
We offer a continental breakfast priced at $13 per person per day. Order forms are available at reception. Simply complete and hand in to reception before 6pm the evening before breakfast is required.
Each of our rooms receives daily housekeeping. Should you prefer not to receive housekeeping please place the ‘no thanks’ sign on the outside of your door. Note that for your comfort we do empty all guest room rubbish bins every day.
Service washes can be provided for $10 wash & dry (collect, wash, dry and deliver back to your room). Laundry wash bags need to be used and are available from reception for this service.
We're really pleased to offer our guests who booked directly with us the use of a gym membership at Anytime Fitness Riccarton. Subject to availability, $20 key tag bond and accepting Anytime Fitness and our own terms and conditions. Ask at reception.
All guests have individually controlled air conditioning units. Simply use the remote control to adjust the temperature and cooling/heating as required. Please allow 5-10 minutes for the unit to get to the temperature that you have set. We recommend a range of between 18 degrees - 22 degrees – this will keep you comfortable day and night.
For your security, we recommend that you keep your door locked. On departure: Please lock your room and return you key to us using the key return box to the left of the reception door.
We recommend Blue Star taxis: 03 377 7999 or Uber (you will need the app). Alternatively, you are welcome to dial ‘0’ and ask the team at reception to book you a taxi.
Local & national phone-calls from your room are free of charge simply dial 9 for an outside line. To receive calls directly to you room, the caller will need to know your room number and dial 03 281 8734.
For your convenience and comfort, your unit is ‘self-catering’ It’s fully equipped to enable you to prepare, enjoy and clean up after your meals. Washing of dishes is not included in the daily housekeeping service – a couple of mugs left for washing is acceptable. In the event that on check out the unit kitchenette is left with dirty dishes / pots etc an additional housekeeping charge of $50 will be applied to the credit card held on file.
Visitors are not permitted after 10pm. You must not exceed the maximum number of occupants allowed in your unit this is for fire regulations. No pets allowed within the property. The lead guest is responsible for ensuring all guests are aware of our policies and will be charged any additional costs due as a result of extra unauthorised occupants.
Any damage to the room, furnishing or property will be charged direct to the credit card held on file. If applicable we will also charge you for any resultant loss of income including any recovery costs incurred by the motel.
